We are currently seeking a Voice Engineer (VoIP Engineer) to work with our public sector client.

12-month contract

About the role: Joining the Technology, Engineering and Operations function as a Voice Over IP Engineer, you will have responsibility for updating, administering, maintaining, configuring and developing our Session Border Controllers, Voice Systems and Gateways.

Location: 2/3 Days per week Minimum on site in East Kilbride or London.

The ideal candidates will hold active SC clearance and have a proven Voice/VoIP Engineering background, with the following skills/experience:

Skills and experience:

• You will work within a specialised team to develop, support and maintain the Voice Networks and connections (internal and external) and links to video capability.
• Proactively monitor the gateways to identify security, performance and capacity issues.
• Working with engineers but also expected to take responsibility for the workload of project deliverables, technical incident support including BAU activities.
• Document processes, configuration and known fixes to develop a shared knowledge base.
• Respond to Service Desk Incident and Request tickets within defined SLA’s.
• Use Jira to plan and note progress of project deliverables, estimate resources and record risks.
• Inform the roadmap of the private cloud offering by working with vendors and 3rd parties to establish upgrade paths and end of support milestones.
