Underwriting Data Analyst – SQL, Power BI, ETL, Azure

Underwriting Data Analyst is required for a London Market Insurer. As part of a newly established centralised data function, you will be the dedicated Data specialist for the Underwriting team. Reporting directly into the Head of data, you will play an integral role in yielding Underwriting improvements via D&A best practices.

You will be an experienced Data Analyst from the Lloyd’s/London Markets, with a good working knowledge of Underwriting operations and processes. You will be well-versed in SQL, Power BI with exposure to ETL/ELT processes.

During a period of company wide tranfotmation, you will play an integral role in driving this newly-established data framework across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop UW reporting capabilities
• Respond to ad-hoc data queries and extracts
• Support the development, testing & maintenance of code
• Leverage the best technologies for data analysis and automation processes
• Identify gaps and opportunities in reporting processes

Requirements:

• Speciality Insurance is essential
• Good understanding of SQL, Excel and Power BI
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes
• Ability to engage with all levels of the business
• SSIS/Azure Synapse experience would be beneficial
