Experienced Angular Engineer with creative UI experience wanted – up to £95K plus progression opportunities
This role is ideal for a Front End focused Software Engineer, with a creative flare and eye for UI detailing.
Working alongside Lead Developers, an experienced and proficient engineer will help set the standards and create working patterns for junior team to adhere to.
The project itself is a large-scale strategic realignment, integrating functionality from a separate project and multiple asset teams into one web driven platform.

The research and portfolio management technology department provides high quality software engineering expertise to the investment management teams. Working closely with members of the business teams to fulfil business driven data and functionality requirements, as well as driving business change through strategic initiatives that promote increasingly scalable, modular and risk aware solutions.
Your day to day responsibilities
Work with strategic change teams to develop cross asset research and portfolio management capabilities
Contribute to agile working practices and tools selection and configuration to create a durable development platform for the future.
Develop UI components as required in conjunction with business stakeholders to both fulfil immediate business needs and move the strategic platform forward.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
5+ years of frontend development
3+ years experience building applications with Angular 4+
Node or Python experience are strongly desirable
Ability to produce and effectively communicate software designs
Strong CSS/SCSS, an eye for visual design is desirable
Automated code tools (eg. Prettier, TSLint)
Testing tools (Jest and Cypress)
Version control using GIT
Strong communicator, confident dealing with non-technical business stakeholders
Financial services experience preferred
AGGrid experience desirable
In return you’ll get generous benefits, including a 10% pension contribution from us, regardless of what you contribute yourself. Expected salary is based at £85,000 with upwards flexibility should your skills exceed those that we are looking for.
The office this project works out of is based in Central London. Hybrid working with 4 days a week at home. As time goes on, we may only ask you in to the office 1 day a month, once everything is up and running.
