Trade Desk Support Engineer – Equities Full Time

A Senior Application Support Specialist/Trade Desk Support Engineer with expertise supporting Equities Trading applications is required for this rapidly expanding Hedge Fund. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support for core Trading Applications covering Mid-Frequency Algo and Discretionary desks across Front and Middle Office applications (inc. Equities, FX, Fixed Income, and Commodities).

The role involves working in an established and invested Production support team providing support for ~200 users, for trade capture, Order & Market Gateway, DMA, Risk and PnL applications and tools across Rates, Equities, FX and Commodities.

It also offers the chance to work on change initiatives, developing expertise in Python building tools to support automation within the production environment, such as auto onboarding of Portfolio Mgmt/Traders.

Applicants suited to this role will have

• 4+ years of Application Support experience within an Investment Bank, Hedge Fund or Asset Management firm supporting Trading (eTrading, Algo or Automated Trading) and Risk applications
• Possess strong understanding of Equities
• Excellent Linux Scripting and SQL skills
• FIX protocol knowledge
• Desire to develop expertise in Python
• Exceptional problem solving skills, proactive approach to Production Support whereby you conduct root cause analysis and suggest improvements to processes and procedure
