Test Engineer

Reporting of the Role

This role reports to the Lead Test Engineer.

Overview of job

We’re looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join our established development team.

Measures of success –

In the first few months, you would have:

• Ensured new features in our Apps and sites are safely shipped to a high standard.
• Proven a collaborative approach to delivery.
• Shown a passion to learn new things and to share knowledge with others.
• Taken time to understand the business context and roadmap.

Responsibilities of the role

• Extensive and exploratory testing, whether that includes manual checks and investigations or writing up automated scripts
• Driving the quality assurance of each product, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Contribute in our agile ceremonies to help make things better.
• Maintain a steady production environment.

What you will need

The ideal candidate will be passionate, proactive and have a highly developed ability to uncover bugs. You’ll be capable of the following:

• A detailed, systematic but creative approach to software testing
• Experience in front-end and API testing.
• A strong ability to describe complex software problems.
• Experience with mobile testing on both Android and iOS platforms.
• Experience with working in a sociable, multi-functional team.
• Familiarity Git and Github.
• Understanding of the Page Object Model in regards to writing automated tests.
• Understanding of the importance of Continuous Integration.

Bonus points if you tick any of the following boxes

• Experience with tools like Charles, Proxyman
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks like Playwright, Appium.
• Experience working with Python, GraphQL
• Experience of agile practices.
• Experience with using Docker in your development process.
