Role title: Solutions Architect – Maritime Defence

About Your Opportunity:
A key member of the Engineering team driving our Capture and Delivery approach.
This role will ensure we understand our capability needs, working closely with both Capture and Delivery and Engineering team to ensure alignment whilst providing technical vision and strategy on our bids and proposals for maritime. Day to day you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our future programmes have a robust and sustainable solution approach.

Undertake architecture cost/benefit trade off studies across the spectrum of available solution options.
Identifying the most appropriate technical solution to solve present and future capability needs.
Provide technical Systems Engineering and Project Management inputs to contribute to planning, scheduling and cost control/monitoring activities.
Develop architectures and specifications that support the Business Development proposals and are aligned to our engineering capability in order for the solution to be elaborated, defined, managed and delivered.
Describe the function, structure, characteristics, behaviour and other aspects of a solution to a wide array of key stakeholders.
Degree-qualified in an Engineering or Science discipline or equivalent underpinning knowledge and understanding.
Proven track record of delivering complex systems such as COTS components, e.g. PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial networks.
Relevant experience within defence, maritime, aerospace, or a similarly regulated industrial sector.
Substantial experience of systems requirements management, definition, design, integration, acceptance and analysis.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in solution architecting, utilising techniques and tools to help communicate the solution.
