You MUST have the following:

• Hands-on programmer, developer, software engineer skills to the standard of senior solutions architect
• Experience leading development teams on end-to-end initiatives
• Strong OMS and EMS experience for Fixed Income products specifically
• Excellent knowledge of Fixed Income, ideally across rates, credit and ABS products
• Solid understanding and capability with derivatives (futures, options, swaps, forwards etc)
• Agile

The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:

• AWS or alternative cloud (Azure/GCP)
• Experience building an EMS or OMS for Fixed Income
• Experience as a development manager

Role: Fixed Income Trading Software Engineering Manager (Technical Lead Solutions Architect Architecture Technical Lead Software Engineer Developer Programmer Fixed Income Bonds Rates Government Corporate Credit ABS OMS EMS Order Management Execution Management Derivatives Agile AWS Amazon Web Services Azure GCP Azure Asset Manager Investment Management Hedge Fund Finance Java Python C++ .NET C#) required by our asset manager in London. You will join the trading technology arm of investment technology of this asset manager. This arm is responsible for order management systems (OMS) and execution management systems (EMS) across all asset classes. This is mostly accommodated by a third party application but, due to the complexities of Fixed Income trading, the company would like to build its own in-house OMS and EMS solution to better serve the portfolio managers. This will be your responsibility.

This is an initiative that is completely at inception. You will come in as a Fixed Income trading expert with very strong experience in EMS and OMS for Fixed Income specifically. In addition to that, you will be an advanced technical lead with strong experience leading development teams, contributing to coding, code reviews, architecture, architectural reviews and even, product management. The ideal candidate would be a polyglot, although this company has a leaning towards Java, Python, React and AWS. Cloud experience is strongly desired as this would likely be hosted on AWS.

You will be the first hire and report directly into the head of trading technology. You will hire a team that will likely reach 20 or more developers by the end of 2023. This is an excellent opportunity for any technical lead with experience in Fixed Income trading.

Salary: £150k -200k + 25% Bonus + 10% Pension
