Software Engineer Python Greenfield OTC Suite Hedge Fund Full Time

An experienced Developer/Programmer is required for this rapidly expanding Multi-Strat Hedge Fund. In 2023 my client onboarded a number of new and expanded existing OTC Trading and Research teams across Fixed Income (Cash to both Linear & Non-Linear Derivatives), Commodities. and more.

They now seek a Senior Developer to assume responsibility for the build-out of new tools and applications, as well as integrate 3rd party solutions covering –

• Risk calculation
• P&L
• Margin
• Position Management

You will report directly to the Head of Development, liaising with Risk Management, OTC Trading and Portfolio Management teams, and Front, Middle and Back Office Technology teams.

• Indicative Compensation
• Total Comp – £225k-£300k
• Based on breadth of skills and knowledge inc. Python, SQL, React/Angular, and Multi-Asset OTC experience, coupled with Post-Trade systems experience.
• Base Salary – £135k-£170k

Experience required

• 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer within a leading Bank, Fund, or FinTech firm
• Excellent Programming skills in Python (inc. deep Pandas knowledge), SQL, plus some experience of JavaScript based UI development (Angular or React (preferred)
• 3+ years building OTC Middle and Back Office Trading and Risk systems
• Experience with 3rd party solutions such as Beacon Platform, Calypso, or renowned Python-based Risk and P&L systems such as Athena, Quartz, et al, strongly preferred.
