Senior Software Development Engineer in Test Full Time

Reed Online are looking for a Senior SDET to join their established team based in Holborn, London (remote working until June).

Overview

We re looking for a talented and ambitious Senior SDET with a real passion for the latest technologies. You ll help to introduce & implement modern test practices with CI/CD. The successful candidate will need mobile application test automation experience and will work closely with our mobile teams as well as one other team to ensure good test coverage.

The role will involve:

• Native mobile test automation (Espresso & XCUITest)
• API test automation (Cypress & others)
• API Performance testing (Taurus & others)
• Configuring CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Improving the way data is generated for test automation
• Working really closely with Software Engineers
• Actively participating in Agile ceremonies
• Helping teams with TDD & BDD
• Reviewing application architectures, pair programming & code reviews to improve testability
• Spending at least 10% of your time innovating on the latest test tools & techniques
• Helping to raise, root cause bugs and sharing manual testing duties at times

You will have:

• Advanced knowledge of programming languages (we use C#,JavaScript, Swift & Kotlin)
• Extensive experience testing mobile applications
• Advanced mobile test automation experience
• Advanced API testing experience
• Experience of CI/CD
• Knowledge of basic software engineering design patterns & principles
• Innovated and introduced the latest technologies in a commercial environment many times
• Great team-working & communication skills to tech and non-tech savvy people
• The ability to keep learning and adapting to new technologies and tools
• To be a team player that is cross-functional and accommodating

Highly desirable but not essential:

• Experience with Performance testing or Security
• Experience with TDD & BDD
• Contract API test automation with (pact.io)
• Experience with Espresso & XCUITest
• Building dashboards for technical and business metrics
• Experience with test automation on web UIs including SPAs
