Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Remote (UK based) £55,000 to £65,000.
We have partnered with an organisation who are part of the Fortune 500 who have a strong heritage going back over 50 years. The business pride themselves on being the UK’s leading company in their field and are going from strength to strength with their current expansion of tripling their size in the past 5 years.
Our client is searching for someone who will work to streamline development with a focus on improving security, infrastructure reliability, and cost.
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will address operational issues like performance and scalability, ensure compliance with Service Level Objectives, and report any technology standard deviations.
Key Experience Required of the Senior Site Reliability Engineer
– Essential background working in AWS
– Proven experience administering Linux or Windows server systems
– Experienced in containerization, particularly with Docker
– Competent in Scripting, with Python and Bash
– Good understanding in Java development
– Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with close collaboration with development teams
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Site Reliability Engineer:
– Address operational challenges, including performance and scalability issues
– Ensure adherence to Service Level Objectives
– Report any deviations from technology standards
– Contribute to the development of the SRE service catalogue
– Create tools for tracking and visualizing key performance metrics
