My client a large insurance company is looking for an experienced ITIL certified Senior Service Transition Manager to join the team.
The role is to support the end-to-end Service Transition process within the company. Supporting the life cycle this will include scheduling, coordinating, and management of Service Acceptance Reviews across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios.
Duties
Support the Head of IT Operations to ensure the Service Transition process remains fit-for-purpose
Promote the (correct) use of the Service Transition process
Ensure Service Transition and other interlinked processes are provided with steering information
Ensure high quality reports are produced, distributed, and utilised
Ensure that the Service Transition process operates effectively and efficiently
Own the management of Service Readiness through to the delivery pipeline
Plan the delivery windows and cycles across portfolios
Manage risks and resolve issues that affect scope, schedule, quality and resources
Monitor Service Acceptance progress to ensure projects and programmes are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet business expectations as a minimum
Manage a team of Service Transition professionals, and act as a point of reference for the team and wider business around Service Transition processes
Essential skills/Experience
Strong process competencies
Excellent communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and senior management staff
Good understanding of Service Transition methodology and the Service Value Chain
Possesses an as a minimum an ITIL Foundation certificate
3-5 years of previous Service Transition. Change and Release experience is advantageous
Solid knowledge of software development life cycle
Experience of managing a team of highly motivated professionals
Experience of managing partner organisations and third-party suppliers
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated effective analytical skills
Experience with reporting, utilising the Microsoft Office product suite and ITSM tooling
