Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Lawrence Harvey are currently working with a financial firm who are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their well-established team. Within this role you would be required to complete tasks around BAU and projects, work with the team on various technologies and provide documentation and training for transitioning a project into BAU.

600 – 650 Inside IR35
Hybrid Working (City of London)
6-month contract – scope to extend

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, manage, monitor, and support infrastructure environments
• Act as Subject Matter Expert to deliver projects
• Participate in design, implementation and execution of backup and disaster recovery
• Troubleshoot and provide full-cycle incident response (mitigation, correction, prevention)
• One of the “go to” people for anything related to the systems you’re implementing, improving and supporting

Required:

• Previous experience within an Infrastructure Engineer position
• Extensive cloud experience (AWS is preferred)
• Excellent documentation skills
• Good knowledge of ITIL processes / model and of the DevOps model
• Knowledge & experience of good development practice & full software development lifecycle
• Broad knowledge and understanding of IT security concepts and methodologies
