COO consists of 9 functions including: Satellite Operations, Network Operations, Service Assurance, Service Delivery Aviation and Customer Assurance, Service Delivery and Supply Chain, Project Management Office, Global Cyber Security and Group IT
Job Description
Primary Purpose of the Role:
Inmarsat owns and operates an extensive global IP network to support its fleet of satellites and to carry traffic from a diverse set of customers. The use of deep packet inspection tools for both bandwidth management and network intelligence has become increasingly important and Inmarsat has invested significantly in this area. The core network team have a vacancy for a specialist to help manage the deployment, configuration and maintenance of the DPI infrastructure.
The current DPI infrastructure consists mainly of Sandvine policy traffic switch (PTS) which will be superseded by Sandvine Active Logic over the next 2 years. The DPI Engineer will support the transition to Active Network Intelligence (ANI) and the in-life operation of the system which will be deployed in a private cloud environment.
