My client is a leading Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund who seeks an experienced (2-8 years) Data Engineer Software Engineer with a genuine passion for Python and Data Engineering. Reporting directly to the Head of Data Engineering within this small, collaborative and innovative team based in London.

• Salary – £95K-£125K
• Bonus – £20K-£40K

The role will involve the design, build and implementation of leading-edge Big Data solutions to the business. Key projects include partnering with the Quants and Machine Learning Researchers to build pipelines, frameworks, tools and APIs to allow models to ingest Alternate and Traditional data then feed into Backtesting simulators, then into live Trading including Risk calculation and Algo execution systems.

Candidate suited to these roles will be –

• True Software Engineers with 2-8 years commercial Python software engineering experience
• Ideally some experience of web Front End languages such as Angular or React, however you will receive full training in these languages
• Experience of Web Scraping technology such as BeautifulSoup, Request and Selenium is beneficial, however again you will receive full training in these tools
• Achieved outstanding academic success in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Machine or Mathematics
