Are you a Senior Data Engineer looking to work with cutting-edge technologies in a modern, forward thinking environment. Do you have good experience with Azure, Azure Data Factory and Databricks? Do you like working with world-class engineering and analysts to solve complex problems?

If so, this could be a great role for you. My client, a FTSE 250 company is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their technology arm of the business, working on enterprise level products in the shipping industry.

Skills the Senior Data Engineer must have

• 6+ years as a Data Engineer
• Proven experience with SQL, Azure Data Factory and Databricks (Python)
• Proven experience with Datamodelling techniques such as Kimball, Data Vault etc
• Translating business requirements into technical deliverables
• Bi tools like PowerBi – Desirable
• DevOps and CI/CD pipelines – Desirable

Roles and responsibilities for the Senior Data Engineer

• Building and delivering data products from ideas to production
• Lead and own data focussed deliverables
• Deliver complex data flows to process external data sources that provides my client a competitive advantage
• Act as a consultant of the business to meet needs and requirements
• Mentor more junior members of staff
• Recommend new tools and technologies to improve the data function within the business
