Location: London, Glasgow, Bristol or Manchester, Home working options available.

IR35: Inside

Rate: £783.14/day (Umbrella)

Duration: End of March 2024

Security Clearance: SC clearance

Minimum requirement:

• Splunk
• AWS
• SC Clearance

As a Senior Security Engineer you will report to the Lead Security Engineer and:

• Lead day-to-day operation of the cyber security team’s internal infrastructure, and lead the investigation and remediation of any operational issues
• Lead the implementation of resilient and highly-available systems to support the cyber security team’s capabilities
• Work closely with the Cyber Defence team to rapidly develop capabilities that support the investigation of and response to cyber security incidents
• Automate tasks, deployments, and tests
• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code
• Quality assure operational documentation
• Share knowledge and collaborate with the wider Cyber Security and Cyber Engineering teams

We’re interested in people who have:

• Significant experience building and maintaining services in AWS including security tools
• Significant experience building and maintaining software using Python
• An excellent understanding of security principles and how these can be applied in practice
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Experience shipping cloud logs to a SIEM platform
• An understanding of software design principles
• A systematic and structured approach to solving problems
• It’s also desirable that you have:
• Experience with serverless cloud services such as AWS Lambda and Fargate
• Experience with collaboration platforms such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience implementing Identity and Access Management tools
