Security Engineer Full Time

Arthur are partnered with a specialist underwriter who are currently seeking an Infrastructure & Security Specialist to join the team on a contractual basis for 6-months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for all infrastructure systems.
• Manage and support security systems, including configuration and security analysis reporting.
• Perform daily cybersecurity checks and validation activities.
• Conduct and manage IT security penetration test remediation.
• Own and manage tickets, compliance, and security checks for IT systems.
• Identify and escalate infrastructure and security-related risks as necessary.

IT Management:

• Assist in delivering effective IT services to support company operations and syndicates.
• Support the IT needs related to underwriting, accounting, and reporting.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain general and security systems, including hardware.

IT Security Focus:

• Implement and maintain Firewall security, policies, and other security measures such as EDR and Zero Day Malware protection.
• Conduct network analysis, manage penetration testing, and address any findings.
• Secure network configuration, including Firewall and Router management.
• Perform general infrastructure vulnerability assessments and remediation.
• Ensure data security and encryption standards are met.
• Conduct security reporting and review activities.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of Firewalls, EDR, network analysis tools, and penetration testing.
• Experience with Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with VMware ESX, vSphere, and Azure Cloud deployments.
• Knowledge of endpoint security (desktop/laptop, mobile, BYOD).
• Experience with Identity & Access Management (SSO, 2FA, Privileged Access, Remote Access).
• Understanding of Azure security, including Azure Firewalls and NSGs.
• Good grasp of networking security concepts.
• Analytical skills to understand and optimise business processes.
