SecDevOps Technician

FPSG are proudly working in partnership with a highly reputable insurance company that are based throughout the UK and & Ireland.

This is an exciting time to join the IT security team as the company are growing as a leader in their sector year on year.

You will be tasked to lead the implementation and management of automated security within the CI/CD environment.

You will be working within the security team to help drive the security for agile deliveries and assist with building the processes to support security controls. You will be liaising with security partners, transformation and strategy teams.

This is a hybrid role, mainly working within the office in one of their locations throughout England.

The Role:

• Continually improve all internal process by keeping up to date on the latest security trends/developments.
• Engage with the companies Health Engineering and BAU Security teams to secure development practices.
• Support with the delivery of all DevSecOps tooling and processes that efficiently identify and rectify security risks within development workflows.
• Assist the team to continuous improvement of the SDLC, ensuring that security is Embedded into all phases of development.
• Cooperate with engineers to build a secured continuous delivery environment that will support the delivery needs of the companies Health roadmap.
• Facilitate a shift-left DevOps approach to application development to allow the team to move faster and remain agile in delivery.
• Review metrics and reporting opportunities to assure the security of developed applications before release.
• Identify vulnerability trends and create structured training to raise awareness of defensive coding opportunities.

About You:

• Experience of working within a similar environment.
• Working knowledge of securing IaaS.
• Previously worked in an Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD environment
• Have programming or Scripting languages, eg Net framework, Python, Perl, and Java
• Ability in securing code promotion and change management processes and tools
• Significant experience implementing and operating automated security tools (SCA, DAST, SAST, etc.)
• Exposure of managing and patching vulnerabilities across a host of assets.
• Relevant Professional Qualification – eg CCSP, CSSLP, Microsoft/AWS DevOps/Security Engineer (desirable)
