The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy, and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.

We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health.

These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be managing a variety of different projects within the Digital and Technology department, reporting to the Portfolio Management Office.

You must have a strong Project Management background in delivering business-facing and technical projects along with excellent stakeholder management skills and used to working on 3-5 concurrent projects at any one time.

What will I be doing? As a Project Manager, you will:

• Lead and manage the integrated workstreams of own project(s).
• Ensure use of best practice project management tools and techniques to support delivery of projects.
• Monitor and report on progress, issues and outcomes across projects.
• Manage the governance and control quality of project delivery.
• Taking a user centric focus, manage the assigned project(s) to ensure positive outcomes and benefits for Wellcome and that these are clearly articulated, agreed and understood by all stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with:

• Extensive demonstrable Project Management background, preferably in an IT capacity.
• Project management qualification e.g. Agile, Prince2
• Effective budget management skills
• Proven experience of using Project/Programme Management Tools
• Ability to promote and foster a collaborative environment
• Someone committed to EDI / AD&I, ensuring an inclusive approach is taken insert level appropriate call to action / delivery
