Our client prides themselves on the volume of repeat work they receive from their clients, which shows their commitment to quality service and advice.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Project Director to work on a major hyperscale data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project from the early development and planning phases through to completion and handover. The role will manage a small internal team of project managers and a wider team of external professional consultants.Our client is a global consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering excellence in the construction industry. They are looking for a candidate who can manage key stakeholders with the client on the project with the aim of delivering excellence to help grow the account. This is a site-based role in Frankfurt, with the candidate required to work on site 5 days a week. The successful candidate can either relocate to Frankfurt or work there 5 days a week by flying in and out.Key responsibilities/duties; Manage the project from early development and planning phases to completion and handover. Manage a small internal team of Project Managers and a wider team of external professional consultants. Manage key stakeholders with the client on the project to ensure delivery of excellence. Deliver the project on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Communicate progress and any issues to the client and senior management team. Contribute to the growth of the account by delivering excellence.The CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a Data Centre consultancy environment and demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.Essential experience; Fluent in German to a business level and English. Proven experience in managing major construction projects. Experience in managing hyperscale data centre projects is desirable. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Willingness to work on site in Frankfurt 5 days a week. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.This is a permanent position, but our client would also consider a Ltd Company Consultant. If the person joins as a Ltd Company Consultant expenses will be paid along with a day rate. The project is due to last 30 months, so there is a long-term contract length.Our client is going through a very exciting growth phase, having grown by 70% in the past 12 months.
