About the company:

An established financial services organisation that over the last few years has invested heavily in technology to drive modernisation, Agile and DevOps. They are renowned for hiring good technologists and training them up into new careers and promotions.

Team size and structure:

The current team is fairly large, made up of 9 engineers, Scrum Master, Product Owner, UX Designer and a BA. You’ll all report into the Engineering Manager, so there’s no line management expected in this role (for those who want it, we can look to accommodate it for you). Until now, they’ve largely relied on a third party, however the plan is to build out an in-house team to replace, which is why they’re starting with this position to recruit top-down.

The role:

This is a senior role where you will drive the architecture, roadmap and development for our brand new mobile application! We’ve chosen React Native because of its ability to work cross-platform (it doesn’t matter if you’re fairly new to React Native, so long as you have a strong background in mobile development). This is a hands-on position, so would be a good move for someone looking for that step-up without moving too far away from the code.

About you:

You must be a creative, imaginative, and hands-on coder. They will value a forward-thinking, quick thinker who is productive and effective to blend in with this firm. This job is for you if you have experience with React Native and have pervious experience of leading a team or being a key player in previous teams before.
