Action Against Hunger UK
We want a world where no one dies from hunger. Life-threatening hunger is predictable, preventable and treatable. Join Action Against Hunger and together we will stop it in its tracks. Action Against Hunger is an optimistic, inspiring place to work. We want passionate and dedicated people to help build a better world. We’re a creative team made up of people with a wide range of talents, styles and expertise. But we are united in our relentless dedication to end world hunger. No challenge is too big. With you we can do it. Join us. We are looking for an experienced Press & PR Officer to join our growing communications team which spans content production, digital and social media. You’ll have the support of the Press & PR Manager in changing the narrative around world hunger within a fast-moving traditional and digital media landscape, cementing Action Against Hunger as the go-to voice on world hunger. Your Press and PR work will also support the goals of our advocacy, fundraising, and international teams. You’ll do this through timely placed news, feature and comment pieces in media outlets which appeal to our stakeholders and supporters. No two days are ever the same in the Press and PR team at Action Against Hunger. Whether it’s an enquiry from The Guardian on the increasing numbers of malnourished children in our treatment centres, devising a creative stunt on Parliament Square to galvanise MP and public action on hunger, coordinating a celebrity press trip, or even drumming up press interest for the biggest event in our fundraising calendar, you’ll have the creativity, the drive, and the flair to make this role a meaningful one. We’re a close-knit team sharing the same common goal: to produce high-quality content to raise awareness of our brand so that people can take action to end life-threatening hunger. We’re innovative and creative, and we take great pride in leading on projects that deliver positive solutions for the communities we support around the world.
