Penetration Testing Team Leader
Home based with occasional travel to client sites and occasional company meetings in London
£90,000 – £110,000 Depending on Experience

The Penetration Testing Team Leader Role:
We are looking for an experienced Penetration Testing Team Leader to lead our penetration testing team with a focus on Pre-Sales Support & Scoping, Delivery Support, Team Management, Service Catalogue, and Accreditations.
This opportunity requires a seasoned professional who can effectively manage a team of skilled security experts, provide pre-sales technical support, ensure successful project delivery, maintain accreditation standards, and contribute to the development of a comprehensive service catalogue.
You will be able to lead an amazing team of 5 Penetration Testers, foster our collaborative culture, work with and support our interesting clients of varying sizes in different sectors, help shape the Technical Assurance function and our related services in a flat structure with direct access to the decision makers, and contribute to the Company’s vision of continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Leading and mentoring our team of penetration testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
+ Collaborating with the sales team to provide technical expertise in pre-sales activities
+ Conducting scoping exercises to understand client requirements
+ Overseeing the execution of penetration tests, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
+ Providing technical and commercial QA on test reports
+ Collaborating with project managers to ensure seamless project execution
+ Contributing to the development and enhancement of the organisation’s penetration testing service catalogue
+ Manage and maintain the team’s accreditation status, ensuring compliance with industry standards
About you:
+ Professional certifications such as CTSM & CTSL are essential
+ Demonstrated experience in collaborating with sales teams, providing in-depth technical expertise during pre-sales activities
+ Background in ensuring that services are well-defined, documented, and consistently delivered to meet client expectations
+ Proven ability to grow, lead and mentor a team of Crest certified penetration testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
+ Track record of providing technical support to testing teams, especially during complex engagements
+ Experience as a point of escalation for client issues, resolving challenges effectively
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be advantageous
