Network and Security Engineer- Global, Networking, Cloud, Security, MCSE, Microsoft, Cisco, 3rd Line

Our Global creative and design client based in London is seeking a dynamic, hands-on and technically astute Network and Security Engineer with strong skills in supporting, administrating, troubleshooting, analysing, configuring and monitoring Network systems.

As Network and Security Engineer you will be required to build and constantly develop workflows across platforms and ensure service improvement projects meet governance requirements.

Strong technical experience of VMware and Hyper-V, routing and switching, network configuration experience including LAN, WAN, VPN and Remote Access is required. An understanding of Cyber Security tools is essential. Knowledge of SAN/NAS/DAS storage technologies is a bonus.

Other duties and responsibilities:

• Monitor core global services and maintain them to provide efficient service
• Highlight and analyse trends, providing recommendations for improvements
• Maintain documentation, helping to provide information for all members of the team to operate efficiently
• Ensure that logical/physical network diagrams are updated regularly
• Administer change control, service requests and 3rd/4th line break fix
• Ability to analyse and troubleshoot systems and services in a timely and effective manner.
• Adhere and ensure security standards are maintained across all services.
• Fulfilling the role in compliance with company policies and procedures, for example (but not limited to) ISO documentation, Information Security training.
• Assist the management and maintenance of the IT product catalogue
• Assist with the coordination and deployment of the Global product catalogue

Technical skills and experience:

• Network Administration and Configuration
• Cloud Services configuration and Administration
• Security tool deployment, performance analysis and behavioural analysis across the security stack
• Meeting Room technology experience
• MCSE or equivalent experience Active Directory and Windows Server Operating Systems
• Cisco Umbrella and Cisco Secure Endpoint experience across Apple MacOs and Windows OS
• Ubuntu and Windows administration and Scripting including command line and powershell would be ideal
• Experience in network and application monitoring tools such as Solarwinds/PRTG
• Any exposure to Powershell and other Scripting languages beneficial
• Google Workspace and Office 365 management experience beneficial
• Cisco Webex hardware and Meeting solutions (Google Meet, Zoom, MS Teams) experience essential
• Experience in supporting cloud-based infrastructure and shared services in Microsoft Azure, AWS essential

This is a permanent position based in London/Remote (3 days office/2 days remote) and is paying a salary of up to £75,000 + benefits.
