Murex Consultant – London Full Time

Murex Consultant is required for a 12-month contract with a leading Bank based in London via a Financial Consulting firm.

THIS ROLE IS INSIDE IR35
HYBRID ROLE 2 DAYS IN LONDON

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage Murex Software needed for Murex client’s projects using Murex tools and scripts
• Environment deployment and Management Operations – setting up new Murex environments and associated interfaces from scratch with interfaces and all filesystem
• Configuration Management: Use Murex configuration management tools to import/export configuration items and analyse related issues
• Perform database sanitization and purging procedures
• Ability to optimise the Murex performance by fine-tuning both the application and the database parameters
• Monitoring and debugging the performance and error logs in case of any issues
• Writing Scripts from both Application and Database perspectives to trigger any jobs or debug any problems in the system

Skills:

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in Murex configuration & environment management.
• Scripting (Perl, AWK), SQL, Unix XML, RDMS Operation.
• Should have set up Murex environments from scratch and an expert on Environment Management activities
• Good overall understanding of Murex architecture and overall Murex functionality
• Should have experience in executing Murex Binary Upgrades (2.11 to 3.1 & within 3.1)
• Exposure to various Murex settings, Parameters and configurations
• Knowledge of setting up Murex environment on the Cloud and the key intricacies involved
