Overall Responsibility:
The Senior Infrastructure Migration Engineer will be key member of the Domain Modernisation Project Team, tasked with rationalising and consolidating two Legacy AD domains and resources onto a new Active Directory domain. Lead on technical delivery of application and systems migrations, decommissions and consolidation. Supporting Technology teams in application/systems migration assessments, planning, documentation, testing, delivery, redeployment and decommissioning as needed.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes
*Lead on a broad technical delivery remit of Active Directory/applications migration and consolidation activities.
*Auditing and discovery of application Servers, systems deployments, and configurations.
*Application Packaging and OSD task sequence management in Microsoft Config Manager.
*Undertake technical analysis and readiness assessments, contributing to application roadmaps, migration paths and delivery plans.
*Contribute to data migration activities, including Legacy data arrangements for end of life and decommissioned systems.
*Contribute to project reporting, stakeholders collaboration and communications.
*Liaise and collaborate with Technology teams, business teams, third parties and vendors.
*Create, update, develop documentation of applications, systems, processes, migration, and delivery plans.
*Undertaking systems and applications installations, including packaging applications in Config Manager.
*Support and undertake SAT, UAT, troubleshooting activities. Maintaining and actioning issue log items.
*Collaborate with the project team to plan and deliver application and devices migrations and rollouts.
*Support service transition planning and delivery. Undertaking out of hours migrations and cutovers. Deliver training and induction as needed.
*Create, present, deliver change submissions to CAB. Planning and adhering to change management processes using ServiceNow.
*Contribute to IT infrastructure related security, maintenance, performance, capacity, and life cycle management.
*Maintain and monitor configuration management, software licence compliance, asset/inventory record changes.
