Hours of work: 36 per week, Monday to Friday

Summary of Position, and the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability
We are seeking a Learning & Development Business Partner to join our Learning & Development team at RHN. The L&D Business Partner will support and plan suitable learning and training interventions in order to support the overall RHN Strategy and specifically the RHN People Strategy
This role will also provide project management leadership or support for initiatives across the RHN that have an L and OD focus
The Learning and Development Team (L&D Team) is a key function within the RHN, and a vital lever in delivering organisational change and service improvement. The L&D Business Partner will support and plan suitable learning and training interventions in order to support the overall RHN Strategy and specifically the RHN People Strategy
Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN) is one of the oldest independent hospitals and medical charities in the UK. We provide person-centred care that focuses on enhancing dignity, independence and quality of life for our patients and residents. Our services span the entire care pathway from post-acute rehabilitation services to end of life care, for people with complex Neuro-disability and their families, underpinned by a strong research and education programme. We are very pleased to have been given an overall rating of ‘;Good’ by our regulator, the CQC, in 2021.
Main Objectives of the role
Support managers on development opportunities for themselves and their teams.
To support and advise staff on options available to them to support their career development.
To be instrumental in promoting the L&D agenda around education and learning for all.
Design learning outcomes, assessment of learning interventions and quality assurance
Work as a team to support organisational change and projects.
To work collaboratively with managers, HR team members and the Staff Engagement lead to identify areas where tailored L&D solutions are required to support the delivery of the People Strategy
Key Responsibilities
Provide L&D business partnering support to managers to develop and support their development strategies and promote RHN’s expertise.
Developing and implementing solutions with external partners but also able to support with in-house solutions when needed
Promote Career development – identify with managers the opportunity to upskill and prepare internal workforce for future moves
To implement the Learning & Development specific elements of the People Strategy to improve overall organisational performance and effectiveness.
To develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with service areas, colleagues, and representatives, establishing professional credibility.
Pro-actively identify learning and development requirements through a continuous Learning Needs Analysis process.
Utilise L&D best practice to find ways to improve our L&D approaches / To keep up to date with emerging L&D trends and find ways to implement and share best practice with colleagues and the organisation
Deal with enquiries for development, ensuring best solution benefiting RHN and individual is achieved; within the constraints of budget. Designing and implementing a variety of developmental initiatives, action plans, programs, and training materials
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Confident to work effectively with staff groups at all levels
Solid experience in Learning and Development, and a confident trainer
Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience in client facing roles
Ability to influence senior stakeholders
Ability to manage contracts, with commercial acumen on income generation
To act in a coaching capacity, and encourage and empower decision making
