Do you want to be a Lead Site Reliability Engineer for a cross functional team in a fast-growing scale up?

This Lead Site Reliability Engineer role is for one of the UK’s most thriving management software companies that are fiercely protective, and proud, of their high-performing, friendly culture. Their product helps Chairs, CEO’s and Board Members keep their precious information secure, whilst eliminating the use of email and paper!

They work with over 600 clients that need to ensure their data is secure and protected at all times. Some examples are, Rolls Royce, John Lewis, and EasyJet, to name a few! Given the nature of the data they protect, they operate mainly on prem, across 3 data centres.

At any one time, BAU includes running 3-5 projects, of which you can choose where you specialise. Some of the exciting upcoming projects include getting stuck in with architectural work, being able to initially run low level environments within the cloud, eventually building them up to high level environments. The team has grown for 40 to 130 employees in the past few years and they don’t plan on stopping there.

SRE Team Tech Stack:

• Have hands on experience with Bare Metal Servers.
• Build and manage systems, infrastructure, and applications through automation (Terraform, Ansible, K8s, Helm, Go)
• A Kubernetes Cluster for Container orchestration
• Apache Kafka for event messaging
• Postgres for data storage
• OpenStack Swift for Object storage
• Juniper networking devices
• A number of internally written tools for managing the platform written in Go

As the Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll be expected to:

• Build and lead a team!
• Engage with stakeholders.
• Have architectural oversight.
• Contribute with hands on work, including a mix of on prem and Cloud.
