KDB+ Developer – VP Level – Front Office – Fixed Income – Backend Infrastructure – London

New KDB+ Developer role for a leading investment banking client.

Team

• Super Front Office and Business facing
• They have Cross asset sub teams (Fixed Income, Credit, Rates).
• Algo system is in Java.
• 4 days a week in Canary Wharf

Role

• Looking for deep expertise in KDB. Someone who can work within a Front Office environment.
• They will be fixing and reviewing, improving the quality of what they have and sometimes building new Back End infrastructure to help improve performance, and generally act a fountain of knowledge for the others who are trying to use KDBs but aren’t experts.
• Teams current issue – They have various dashboards that Front Office users build their own UIs to display data, and the data is in KDBs, but they don’t always know how to write KDB queries which means the dashboards can become scrambled and slow. The HM is in need of a KDB candidate to fix this up, review the queries and make them better.
• Python knowledge would be useful for this role but not a deal breaker.
