React Engineer – Investment Management

I am working with an alternative investment manager, based in central London, they are currently sat at £40 Billion in AUM with a diverse portfolio and global offices. After a successful few years they are looking to continue investing into the tech side of the business.

This firm is looking for a Front End Engineer to work on their financial applications and collaborating with the business, to deliver these powerful applications. This would be working in their data team focusing on building UI’s,

The main stack here would be React, Redux, Typescript with a C# Back End. This individual will be working with two other senior engineer’s on building UI’s for all their financial applications, as such you will have direct impact on the design and architecture.

We are looking for:

• 1-4 years JavaScript frameworks, specifically in React and Redux
• Experience in Front End deployment and using build tools (Babel, Webpack, NPM etc)
• Experience in JavaScript unit testing eg Jest, Mocha, Jasmine
• Core web Front End fundamentals eg HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, Bootstrap
• Demonstratable history of developing complex UIs in a commercial environment
• Ability to straddle design, client-side and Server Side development is highly valued (advantageous)
• Experience developing with Typescript or similar technologies
• Experience writing automated tests using Cypress or similar
• Experience with Node.js Back End and Relation Database (MySQL)
