You MUST have the following:

• Advanced level Java software engineer, developer or programmer experience
• Good experience as a lead developer delivering project work, mentoring team members, delegating work and ensuring development standards and practices
• Experience building cloud based microservices, either on AWS, GCP or Azure
• Agile

The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:

• React and TypeScript
• CI/CD
• Experience within a trading environment
• Man-management experience

Role: Senior Java Software Engineer (Java Developer Software Engineer Programmer AWS GCP Azure Cloud Trading Buy Side Front Office Equities Fixed Income Commodities Equity FX Derivatives Asset Manager Investment Management Funds of Funds Mutual Funds) required by our asset management client in London. You will join a technology department that is dedicated to multi-asset technology. You will be largely project based, delivering tools to mutual funds and funds of funds. These tools will include portfolio summary tools, allocation of investments analytics and automated reporting.

You will be the first hire for the department in the London office and be immediately set with the responsibility of hiring a senior developer, followed by 5-10 additional headcount to cover European and Asian business teams. The role will begin as hands-on and grow increasingly hands-off as the team grows and you take a more managerial role. The stack is Java on AWS with some Python and React. The role will also encompass some business analysis, development, testing and DevOps.

Salary: £120- 145k + 20% Bonus + 10% Pension
