IT Service Manager with an ITIL Accreditation is required for a fantastic opportunity working for a world class sporting events charity. This is a brand-new, standalone role for the organisation and will report directly to the Head Of IT.
This key role will oversee the delivery of high-quality IT service for all stakeholders, whilst ensuring appropriate governance and oversight across a variety of business as usual and business change work streams.
Central to this will be heading up the Service Delivery management and developing a business interface to help the Head of IT balance the BAU requirements and progress the strategic programme.
The hiring also stressed that it is important that the post holder is up to date regarding technologies including MS Azure and O365 as part of the role of IT Service & Supplier Manager will be to manage their Licencing for Azure and O365.

As an IT Service & Supplier Manager, you will lead on our client’s service delivery and liaise closely with our outsourced technology support provider. This will be our first hire in this role, so it’s imperative to have someone who is comfortable creating and defining processes that are scalable with good governance, and to be an effective communicator across the business.
Ensure that all relevant commercial agreements are appropriate and in line with agreed delivery models, overseeing the delivery of third-party suppliers
Manage Change Control processes and ensure policy guidelines and rules are maintained, clearly defining, and communicating planned changes, and assess the potential impacts of them
Attend key service and business meetings such as the Change Advisory Board (CAB), steering meetings, and IT operational meetings
Create and manage key IT policies such as the management of incidents, problems, changes, releases, configuration items, assets, etc
