The Team

The Digital Productivity team’s primary goal is to leverage the Microsoft technology stack and effectively manage the internal intranet site, global knowledge platform, and external internet site to drive enhanced digital productivity, streamline processes, and facilitate seamless knowledge sharing across the organization. By focusing on integration, innovation, and user-centric design, the team aims to create an interconnected digital ecosystem that empowers employees, accelerates decision-making, and strengthens external engagement.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Intranet and Internet Product Owner to take ownership of our organization’s SharePoint-based intranet and Site Core-based internet platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of these platforms while ensuring they align with our business goals and user needs. Additionally, the candidate may also be required to oversee other related products within our digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Act as the primary owner of the SharePoint-based intranet and Site Core-based internet platforms, driving their strategic direction, feature prioritization, and overall product roadmap.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, users, and cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize requirements for platform enhancements, new features, and improvements.
• Work closely with development teams, designers, and content creators to ensure that the intranet and internet platforms are developed, enhanced, and maintained according to best practices and industry standards.
• Advocate for exceptional user experiences by guiding the design and functionality of the platforms to meet user needs, usability standards, and accessibility requirements.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for platform initiatives, ensuring that deadlines and objectives are met.
• Provide regular updates to key stakeholders, including senior management, on the progress, challenges, and achievements of the platforms.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the quality and performance of the platforms, identifying and addressing any issues or bugs.
• Provide support for platform users, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with technical support teams as needed.
• Utilize analytics tools and metrics to assess platform performance, user engagement, and effectiveness. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with vendors, third-party providers, and external partners that are involved in the platform development and maintenance process.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage and understand the technical aspects of SharePoint and Site Core platforms to make informed decisions whilst collaborating effectively with technical teams.

Additional accountabilities:

Any other duties as deemed necessary to achieve department goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, etc.); master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with a track record of successfully owning and driving the development of digital products, preferably intranet and internet platforms.
• Proficiency in SharePoint and Site Core platforms.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, web development processes, and project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of digital analytics tools and methodologies.
• Experience in vendor management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) are a plus.
