Global Law Firm with significant on-prem and in-cloud (Azure) server infrastructure seeks an Infrastructure Analyst/Virtualisation & Storage Engineer to join the team and be involved in a mix of project and 3rd line BAU support work largely focussed within the on-prem virtualised (VMWare) estate and related SAN Storage solutions (Nutanix, HPE 3Par, Brocade Switches). Additional project delivery work will centre around the Azure cloud migration strategy.

The Infrastructure Analyst/Virtualisation & Storage Engineer will be involved in all aspects of the VMWare Virtualisation and Storage estate with a heavy focus on delivery of projects assigned from the PMO. This will require design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of both enhancements to the core VMWare and related SA Storage Infrastructure utilising a range of tools and technologies as well as the migration of this estate into the cloud in conjunction with the Azure cloud infrastructure architects. As such, you will be undertaking both project work and 3rd line BAU to ensure the infrastructure estate remains fully functional as migrations take place. A wide mix of tools and technologies are, and will be, employed ranging from VMWare vCentre ESXi, vRealize, Veeam backup to Nutanix and HPE 3Par SAN storage solutions, Brocade Switches, Citrix Netscalers and core Wintel technologies inc AD/GPo/AzureAD (Entra), DNS, DHCP etc. You will utilise a range of techniques in both your project and BAU work including automation with Powershell, CLI etc. Whilst not expected to be an expert in all of the areas of the spec you will be required to adapt to a broad range of virtualisation and storage solutions at the core of this role.

We are searching for an Infrastructure Analyst/Virtualisation & Storage Engineer/SAN Storage Engineer/Wintel Engineer/Cloud Engineer who can demonstrate a broad range of infrastructure engineering experience in both on prem and cloud based environments. You will have a combination of experience in project work incorporating design and deployment of virtualisation and SAN storage solutions incorporating multiple aspects such as VMWare ESXi, HPE 3Par or Nutanix SAN storage, Windows Server, AD/GPo/AzureAD etc and be an engineer comfortable with and able to support these technologies at the 3rd line/4th line. You will have some Azure cloud migration/deployment experience in relation to virtualisation and be comfortable being involved in both project work and BAU as systems come online.

You may have been working within a Law Firm environment/legal services environment but this is NOT essential. We are open to experience gained in all professional services (and wider) fields providing that you can demonstrate extensive, hands-on technical knowledge and a combination of both project work and BAU support work around VMWare Virtualisation and related SAN Storage technologies.
