The company

This global online business is undergoing a rapid programme of cyber security enhancement, and they looking to for a Head of SecOps to report into their changemaker CISO. This role is crucial to the ongoing journey of cyber improvement. The Head of SecOps will be tasked with building their new function as well as working with stakeholders across the technical and non-technical leadership teams .

Head of SecOps: The Role

The successful applicant for the Head of SecOps will:

– Be responsible for liaising and managing the external SOC provider to ensure that out of hours events and monitoring are managed in accordance to the SLA

– Lead, coach and develop a growing team of analysts across 2 time zones

– Take ownership of the SOC ensuring that monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management activities are impactful

– Create and roll out policies for SecOps performance ensuring that these are alignment with risk appetite and industry standards

– Plan the direction of projects whilst keeping in alignment with the business’ budgets, priorities and objectives

Head of SecOps: Your Profile;

The ideal candidate for this Head of SecOps post will:

– Have at least 5 years experience in a senior SecOps post

– Possess a recognised security cert for example: CISM or CISSP

– Demonstrate proven experience managing a SOC team

– Be and expert in SIEM, SOAR and other SecOps tools including vulnerability management, threat intelligence and more.

– Demonstrate strong people management and influencing skills from previous roles

– The ability to manage various concurrent often conflicting projects
