Baby Lifeline
The Talent Set are excited to be working with Baby Lifeline to find their new Head of Marketing and Communications. Baby Lifeline offers a lovely flexible working pattern, with options for a primarily remote working pattern or a hybrid working pattern in London or the Midlands. As Head of Marketing and Communications you will manage the charity’s online presence and reputation; develop the social media strategy with a Social Media Executive whom you will recruit; and work to grow the charity’s audience. You will oversee all PR activity and engagement in multiple social media channels across various platforms, and take ownership of how we drive donations, sign-ups, and brand awareness. The role will also include working with Baby Lifeline Training Ltd, a not-for-profit social enterprise that delivers high-quality, multi-professional training for the maternity sector on behalf of the charity. Key responsibilities: Devising creative campaigns to drive charity donations and fundraising through social media and the website Growing the charity’s audience through innovative marketing campaigns Leading on proactive and reactive media relations including writing press releases, statements, managing incoming media enquiries, coordinating interviews, and devising media engagement strategies Understanding what metrics to use as a measure of success, based on key objectives – and to report on these confidently Researching and evaluating the latest trends within the charity sector Building relationships with relevant professionals and experts within healthcare, to help drive sign-ups to events and training Managing and influencing relationships with key external influencers, such as journalists, producers, and celebrity VIP ambassadors Creating blog posts for the website with a view to promoting on social media Day-to-day management of the website Overseeing growth, reach, and content creation across multiple social channels Line managing a Social Media Executive Working with a Social Media Executive, overseeing social media content planning and creation of content calendars Developing engaging and results-driven social media strategies Person Specification: Experience in a similar communications or marketing role A keen eye for marketing design – experience creating social media assets is preferable Self-motivation and passion about the opportunities that can come from marketing, communications, and social media Strong written communication skills and copywriting capabilities Excellent interpersonal skills A degree in marketing and/or PR or equivalent is desirable Health/charity sector experience is desirable but not essential To be considered for this position please apply with your CV as soon as possible, regrettably please note we may not be able to reply to each and every application.
