Job Overview
GOSH is a globally renowned children s hospital providing ground-breaking treatments for the rarest and most complex conditions to sick children at home and abroad. It is an international power house for transformational research and has ambitions to be a world-leading provider of paediatric training and education.
This is a newly created leadership role and is a unique opportunity to apply branding, communications expertise and marketing techniques to further strengthen our global brand and ensure that the child and their family are at the centre of everything we do.
The role will lead on developing our brand and external communications strategies and steering the marketing strategy and plan for our GOSH Learning Academy. It will also provide professional leadership to the International and Private Care marketing function.
Because many elements of the external Brand are shared with the GOSH Children s Charity, we are looking for someone who can forge strong strategic partnerships and ensure alignment on brand and messaging and maximise opportunities and manage risks. Experience of advocacy would be very welcome as the role will be instrumental in co-developing a new advocacy position and work stream with GOSH Charity.
Reporting to the Director of Communications for GOSH, and working closely with the International and Private Care team and Charity, you will take ownership of the Brand strategy and GLA marketing strategy. You will be confident in setting measurable communications and marketing targets that will in turn mean the Trust delivers on its ambitious goals including those related to income
We are looking for a strategic thinker who can shape, lead, monitor and evaluate integrated programmes of marketing and external communications. We need you to inspire our talented in-house team and the agencies we work with so all our marcomms activity is greater than the sum of its parts.
You will have strong core values in line with those at GOSH and will feel comfortable modelling the positive, proactive behaviours which are expected at all levels of the organisation.
