Full Details:

As the Head of Delivery for Development, your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating closely with the IT director, peers, and developer managers to align project delivery with the organisation’s strategic roadmap and technical roadmaps.
• Overseeing the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of projects, ensuring adherence to established methodologies and processes.
• Managing project portfolios, optimising delivery capacity, and allocating resources effectively based on strategic priorities.
• Driving continuous improvement in delivery practises, processes, and tools, fostering a culture of agility and efficiency.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
• Monitoring project performance, identifying risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensuring effective stakeholder management and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Championing delivery methodologies, promoting best practises, and driving adoption across the organisation.
• Fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the delivery function.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience in managing and delivering complex development projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and delivery processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with IT leadership, business stakeholders, developer managers, and engineering teams.
• Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including risk management, resource planning, and budget management.
• Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, providing coaching and mentorship.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
