The Learning and Development team have a great opportunity for a Head of Apprenticeships and Digital Learning Systems to join the Barchester family. Remote working, with office visits to Finsbury Square in London once a fortnight.

The role is part of the L&D Senior Management Team reporting to the Director of Learning and Development. You will support Barchester to meet its strategic objectives through the management of our apprenticeship programmes including levy processes, working with preferred providers, overseeing digital training and managing L&D reporting and administration.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Oversee third party contracts for data management of apprenticeships and funded qualifications within agreed timescales• Liaising with preferred providers such as Skills for Care, Sector Skills Council and Skills Funding Agency (SFA)• Manage any SFA contracts and ensure all required reports and company registers for are completed by set deadlines• Supply the Learning and Development Director with key information in relation to monthly figures against budget for funded programmes including collation and preparation of monthly board reports• Co-ordinate and support the Head of Quality and Continuous Development to manage the quality of internal / external programmes• Generate bespoke reports for progress / targets / success rates / information • Oversee the management of the Digital Learning Platform (DLP) including line management of the DLP Manager• Effectively line manage the L&D Administration Team ensuring that L&D are delivering to meet divisional and organisational priorities including timely processing of invoices• Oversee the apprenticeship and workplace training delivery information used to monitor performance against contracts• Oversee the preparation and agree funding bids with NAS and other sources to maximise available income for the company, including management of our Digital Apprenticeship Service account (DAS)
Skills and experience required:
• Worked within a similar role within L&D• Excellent knowledge of apprenticeships • Good knowledge of L&D legislation • Good verbal and written skills• Knowledge of e-learning programmes, producing modules and use of authoring tools• Experience of running apprenticeship programmes• Confident in managing a team• Have the ability to produce management information and analyse trends
