Graphic Designer Full Time NEW

Graphic Designer required to work with a government department. This is a 6-month contract, paying £350 per day, inside IR35, hybrid working (1-2 days per week onsite in the London office)

Main Responsibilities:

• Create clean, modern graphics that work across multiple channels, devices, browsers and platforms.
• Develop a brand and design language that supports and clearly communicates vision to deliver word-class, user-centred public services.
• Collaborate with your colleagues across the Communications team and other stakeholders to produce the most effective creative content for the audience you are trying to reach, contributing to our overall ideas and marketing plans in a way that is consistent with the visual language.
• Work with writers, film-makers, communication specialists alongside policy and technical experts to translate complicated ideas into clear, simple design: graphics, presentations and posters that are of a high quality and consistent with other design work
• Make world-class creative assets that align with the wider design community’s commitment to accessibility and user-centred design practices.

Experience Required:

• Equal strength in concept and craft.
• Portfolios that show standout graphic design skill, brand work and the ability to tailor design outcomes to the project and its audience.
• Highly skilled in using the Adobe Suite: PhotoShop, Illustrator and Indesign
• Aware of how to remove complexity from intricate information.
• Have established digital and print production skill: know how to prepare design materials for print, screen and for social media.
• Ability to work directly with stakeholders, prioritise projects and deliver to changing deadlines.
