Global IT – Enterprise Security Architect Director FTC Full Time

WHAT YOU’LL DO
BCG is looking for a director level Enterprise Security Architect to support the future direction
of workplace technologies across the organisation.

The heart of this role is to help define and primarily solution the ‘north star’ for the digital
collaboration, hybrid working, personal productivity and computing, and the physical office
space across the whole firm. You will be expert at engaging with customers, experienced in
working with technical product teams and love collaborating with diverse teams to explore,
solidify and gain momentum for your ideas in a highly matrixed organisation. You will be an
expert and thought leader in workplace technologies, highly experienced in global
organisations bringing new ideas and future thinking into the organisation.
YOU’RE GOOD AT

• Energising our people to see the possibilities for efficiency, effectiveness of using modern workplace technologies, building trust and evangelising across our organisation
• Solutioning the future workplace architecture across areas including online digital collaboration, modern devices (mobile, PC and Mac) and solving problems for our workplace wherever they are working, with a specific technical focus on always protecting our data
• Collaborating far and wide in the organisation to identify high value use cases, sell the ‘north star’ vision and drive our digital workplace and consulting organisation to new innovative spaces
• Finding great answers to complex and ambiguous questions, as well as connecting and collaborating across teams to solution their architectures. You will seek diverse views, and with a growth mindset consider both conventional and unconventional answers.
• Rolling up your sleeves and “doing”, pioneering the way forward and bring others along with you. You produce high-quality Enterprise Architecture arguments and supporting materials. You are adept at agreeing these at different levels in the organisation. You will be amazing at PowerPoint.
• Applying modern methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, Lean, Design/Product thinking and UI/UX to your work and encouraging others to adopt and use these methods.
• You will be enthused by technology. Knowledgeable and conversant with modern computing paradigms and always curious and driven to learn more and applying this to your work.
• Optimising your own role and delivering results. You understand that architecture is part of a value stream where we need to play our part in being efficient to help increase velocity and reduce risk across the architecture team and the teams we work with.
• You will a magnetic technical leader who will coach other solution and technical architects routinely, to advance the architecture maturity and develop other architecture resources

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• You will either have been a technical consultant or exhibit strength in the essential qualities of a consultant, able to engage in a complex organisation to understand the current state and problems, formulate strategic direction and then gain buy in to this at all levels of the organisation.
• 12+ years’ experience leading and owning the solution architecture for workplace in a global organisation. This includes managing the value, opportunities, inventory, roadmaps, rationalisation, and total cost for the workplace technology portfolio
• Significant experience and success in working in a highly matrixed organisation with a flat structure where direction is set by the best arguments not by seniority.
• Your experience will include multiple successful examples of autonomously:
  • Setting the technical direction (north star) for workplace in complex organisations, in this regard you will be highly technology orientated with expert knowledge of Microsoft identity, access, and information protection technologies (including DLP)
  • Enabling people to securely access the apps, data and support they need to do their best work, using a range of devices, embracing the benefits of cloud
  • Moving forward a plan to technically implement the ‘north star’ and achieving benefits in various dimensions of meeting requirements, improving functionality/services, cost reduction/rationalisation and efficiencies through ongoing automation
  • Leading decisions through to a conclusion in a highly matrixed organisation with minimal or no supervision
  • Preparing materials for, and presenting at, senior levels including C-Suite. You must be a superb storyteller with a strategic mindset able to create brilliant arguments and supporting materials in PowerPoint

YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be directly reporting to the Senior Director Enterprise Architect for Workplace and work in
the central Enterprise Architecture team. There are a significant number of senior stakeholders
across our Tribe organisation – in particular, within our Workplace Tribes.
