Full Stack Software Developer – 6 months – £450-500 per day – Hybrid work

Our client provides workplace data solutions to the world’s largest corporations and are currently looking for a developer to join the team. They are looking for you to use your React, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, AWS services skills to help replace their Legacy systems into the new tech stack as they have just finished V1 of their new product.

Whilst they are an established business, in-house development is new (although the team isn’t new to in-house dev), so experience of a fast-paced start-up would be useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Being part of Legacy system transformation to a new platform
• Supporting the new platform, diagnosing problems, and resolving issues
• Analyse requirements and translating these to elegant and maintainable code
• Maintaining and integrating APIs
• Participating in wider team planning
• Participating in technology team activities such as code reviews and planning sessions
• Communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders (including Product and Client Services as part of developing our products)

• Ruby on Rails, MySQL – Existing product
• React, Node JS, PostgreSQL – New product
• AWS Services
  • EC2, RDS, S3, Route53, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, Secrets Manager, Lambda, Cognito, Serverless
• Docker, Terraform

Requirements

• Computer Science degree or similar
• Minimum 3 years (post education) experience within React, Node JS applications, PostgreSQL, AWS environments
• CI and Automated testing experience useful
• Experience of Git or another repo
• Being comfortable working proactively in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to communicate with both technical & non-technical stakeholders
• Keen to learn new skills and to adapt to changing business needs
• JIRA experience useful
• Honesty, integrity, and enthusiasm

Not required, but ideal:

• Other technologies in the stack, experience with any beneficial: MySQL, Data migration tools
• Knowledge of iOS or Android Development
• SaaS product experience
