Full Stack Developer – Up to £90K – Fintech Full Time

My client, leading Financial Services Platform are looking for a talented full-stack software engineer, used to working with modern HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript and CSS, as well as Server Side technologies, you will be contributing to the next generation of our web platform, as well as adding to and improving our Back End capabilities.

You’ll be helping to build and deliver core features and functionality in a modern codebase, working alongside a talented, experienced and dedicated cross-functional team.

My client take a collaborative approach to the design and planning of technical solutions. All engineers contribute, and you will be expected to take an active role in this process, using your experience to assist in guiding the team towards the best solutions. They run fortnightly sprints, with each engineer estimating the time needed for their tasks.

Project managers trust us to estimate things fairly and deliver good technical solutions. They keep a tight feedback loop and demonstrate whenever they have built something new. They have stand-up meetings every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning – they’ve found it’s a good balance between getting work done and keeping up to date with our team. In addition, they value team contributions and encourage every person to challenge the status quo.

Skills:

Knowledge of modern React & Redux patterns (functional components, hooks, composition, action creators)

Strong Typescript/ES6

Knowledge of modern testing tools eg, Cypress, RTL, Mocha, Jest, TDD, BDD etc.

Experience working with Node.js and Express

Knowledge of RESTful APIs and OpenAPI

Experience of working with and querying NoSQL databases (ideally MongoDB)
