Front Office FX Java Developer Full Time

European banking firm seeks a Java Developer for a permanent position paying up to £130,000, within their Global Markets Division based in London.

The role is a technical programming role, focusing on migration from their current risk regulatory program to a new vendor. The role also involves, designing, developing, testing and implementing software soutions for the FX options business, as required by Front Office staff.

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Develop, implement and unit test the required solution, respecting BNP Paribas best practices, standards and tools
• Follow the SAFe Agile process
  • Translate stories into technical solutions.
  • Plan, design, perform and manage all tests required to prove acceptance and non regression of the change
  • Own the change from initial design through to go live
  • Take part in peer group code reviews
  • Identify risks and issues, and help monitor them

Technical Skills required:

• Strong Java skills with experience in
  • Java 11
  • Threading/concurrency
  • IntelliJ
  • Maven
  • Java Swing
• Strong Object Oriented Design skills with knowledge of design patterns
