Our client is looking to recruit an experienced client facing Enterprise Architect to lead their respective industry (either Energy & Power or Cities & Places) guiding solutions and products whilst aligning to PPS Europe and the wider business. You will provide governance, assurance and design frameworks to ensure the client can provide the right portfolio of solutions comprising digital products and professional services to their markets and clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and deliver the development of an implementation plan for the enterprise architecture and solution concepts based on industry dynamics and business unit and digital strategy.
Work closely with Solution and Product architects, guiding and supporting.
Promotes the business value of EA as an enabler of strategy formulation, and as support for technology innovation, which drives our clients top and bottom lines and contributes to our goals.
Executes the plan for the enterprise architecture based on business and digital strategy and requirements.
Support the development of the enterprise architecture practice into preferred an internal and client facing consultancy.
Plan and co-ordinate work with other domain architects that works with EA and non-EA related disciplines to deliver the goals, objectives and outcomes of the organization.
Build and contributes to the architecture libraries of capabilities, skills and tech inventory; supporting a plan to close the skills gap. Finds the balance between technical, behavioral, and business and operating model skills.
Participate and contribute to the EA practice, governance and continuous improvement and ongoing refinement activities.
Manages the documentation of all architecture design and analysis work.
Support and delivers on enterprise solution architecture as capacity within the team demands
Support the Head of EA practice. Build and maintain relationships with other business units and clients, orchestration of the delivery of critical digital projects, contributes to the overall delivery of the digital portfolio
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Industry knowledge of either Energy & Power or Cities & Places
Knowledge and experience working with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
o Business Model & Operating Models
o TOGAF 9, Zachman and SABSA
o Cybersecurity Architecture and Tools
o Viable Systems Model, Soft Systems Methodology
Understanding of the different types of agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level.
Understanding of existing, new, and emerging technologies, and processing environments.
Balance the long-term ( big picture ) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organisation goals.
Translate business needs into EA requirements and practices
Apply multiple solutions to business problems.
Rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
Capable and comfortable with balancing time between foundational EA and vanguard EA efforts concerned with business and operating model design, technology innovation, speed, agility, and flexibility to achieve a unified and flexible EA that meets the organization’s needs.
Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), APIs, microservices, event-driven IT and advanced analytics. Mobile, custom development, RPA and ERP systems.
