Given the increased focus on large-language models, prompt engineering, and generative AI, we are looking for a director to lead our newly formed Generative AI team. You will be working in our new GSK HQ, super centrally in London.
We are looking for a people leader with experience in delivering solutions using large language to join our team of experts in artificial intelligence. As Director, you will drive our overall Generative AI strategy and roadmap, ensuring we keep on par with the innovation in closed and open models and AI agents. As making Generative AI solutions is a very software development heavy, we expect the candidate to have strong experience leading development of complex AI solutions into production using cloud technologies of Google, Microsoft, and Databricks. The technical team, mostly still to be hired, will be truly global with people in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Job Purpose:
Develop a new global team of Generative AI specialists to deliver actual business value throughout GSK Global Supply Chain. Ideally you, or the team you supervised, shipped a complex generative AI solution that combines complex source systems, structured/unstructured/graph/vector stores/graph/RAG, and end-user UX. Bonus points for having established a proper LLMops and Responsible AI practice around these solutions. You also drive the team to adhere to modern agile software delivery standards. You will need to use budget and internal resources effectively to deliver on GSC aggressive Gen AI ambitions.
