Job Description
As a Digital Performance Analyst at the Department for International Trade (DIT) you will be part of a high performing and dynamic team who continuously improve the reporting capability of the department. We optimise the potential of the digital estate across DIT by measuring both the macro and micro moments of the user journey and communicate this insight to a wide range of audiences.
You will also play an integral role within the wider Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Directorate, within diverse and supportive teams, through the collaboration of digital skills and experience in delivering data solutions and analysis to drive continuous improvement and user value. You will enable service and product owners to develop performance frameworks and ensure that business solutions are aligned with strategy, business goals and end user needs.
You’ll need to be numerate and have experience in analysis or data handling. The role requires responsibility for the accuracy and quality of data and analysis, and how they are used.
Responsibilities
Your key tasks as a Digital Performance Analyst will involve:
Developing performance analysis projects, choosing the most appropriate methodology Using the available data on our services collected via Google Analytics and other means Working with product teams to understand the performance of digital services Communicating the outputs of performance analysis in a compelling and understandable way that is matched to the needs of the audience Developing dashboards and communications to key stakeholders, product owners and policy teams Using structured and unstructured data, from both inside the department and our websites and from businesses that we have relationships with
Essential Skills and Experience:
You will need to have demonstrable skills and experience of:
Numeracy and data analysis and/ or data modelling Understanding the key steps and methods in verification and validation of data Experience of performance measurement The ability to hold authoritative conversations about data and analysis with internal stakeholders Technical understanding and use of SQL, Google Analytics, Tag Management Solutions and A/ B testing tools
