Our client, a leading (award-winning) set of commercial barristers’ chambers based in London, is currently looking for a Digital and Marketing Executive.

The Role

You will bring your exceptional creative, writing, and design skills to ensure we’re telling positive and influential stories about chambers and its members while continuing to deliver a great day-to-day service to all our colleagues.

Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day creation and publication of content across barrister’s chambers digital channels – principally: website, social media (predominantly LinkedIn), email marketing, intranet.
2. Manage a calendar of marketing activity to keep the team connected.
3. Manage the creation and upkeep of content about chambers and its members on key external sites and platforms, including the legal directories.
4. Monitor the performance of social media channels and content by barrister’s chambers, members, and peers.
5. Provide advice, guidance, and training to members on using social media channels and creating effective written content.
6. Design and produce brand-led collateral for chambers and members as required.
7. Provide substantive support to chambers’ submissions to the legal directories, including coordinating members’ participation and input, and quality assurance across all submissions.
8. Serve as a brand guardian for applications of the barrister’s chambers visual identity across chambers and by external partners and stakeholders.
9. Support the publication process for substantive legal content (e.g. briefings).
10. Provide general marketing support across all of the team’s activities, including cover for team absences.
11. Assist with EDI, CSR, and charity activities, and actively support a positive working culture in chambers.

Person Specification

Essential

1. Experience in a role requiring tactical and operational decision-making across a range of website and social media channels.
2. Exceptional written communication skills, including writing and content for a variety of audience groups and purposes, editing content, and reinforcing brand style and tone of voice.
3. Keen eye for detail in text and visual designs.
4. Knowledge and experience in using social media to support business development in a B2B or professional services environment.
5. Experience using common website content management system (CMS) tools, including WordPress.
6. Broad and tested range of skills across design and production of digital content and assets.
7. Skills and experience using Adobe Creative Suite software, and/or other common design and production software.
8. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to influence and earn the confidence of all senior stakeholders.
9. The ability to balance diligent schedule management with the confidence and flexibility to adapt plans on the fly.

Desirable

1. Skills and experience creating dynamic digital content, such as video, audio, and text animation.
2. Experience with submissions to legal directories.
3. Experience with SEO tools for monitoring and improving SEO performance.
4. Experience with paid-for campaign tools, online advertising, and promoted posts.
