An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our client on their site in London on a 3 month contract with potential extensions.
This is a site-based contract role and is inside IR35. So this role is suited to umbrella contractors only.
Working as a Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide and maintain service continuity for the client’s desktop technology and resolve any technical issues that may occur, all within contractual agreements.
We are looking for people who are passionate about technology and increasing their existing knowledge, whilst delivering exceptional customer service.
General Day to Day:
* Respond to customer incidents, service requests and manage through to a successful resolution
* Secondly, deliver a deskside service to the customer, including hardware break fix and software support for laptops and desktops across the site.
* Thirdly, maintain desktop devices.
* Additionally, manage and maintain the configuration and installation of desktops, including patch updates and hardware replacements.
* Finally, monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all Desktop Devices. Take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements.
Experience required for this role:
* Windows and OSX environment support
* Support of administrative activities and tasks
* Support project work to develop technical solutions (for example rollout)
* Support Clients in second level support and day by day business
* Perform analysis and solutions of incidents in day by day business
* Report and present progress of project work (effort, status, meetings etc.) to project leads
* Desk moves
* Managing Hardware for leavers and joiners and providing breakfix support (monitors, keyboards, phones, printers)
* AD admin/PM admin for user accounts
* New Laptop build check/installs/rebuild checks
* Software installations
* Folder Permissions/lockdowns
* Mobile Device Configuration
* Pitch/Meeting room support (Off and On-site)
* Hardware incidents (Printers, Laptops, Desktop )
* Software incidents (O365, Windows 7/10, bespoke applications )
* Landesk/Anti-Virus
