We are hiring on behalf of a specialist Data Centre Design Consultancy, who are looking for an experienced Data Centre Consultant with experience of creating, planning, and designing data centres, considering the standard of build, auditing, power efficiency, structured cabling, cabling, fibre designs, cooling plants – heavy weight engineering etc. We are looking for an all-round consultant who has experienced, the design, engineering, and project management of major DC projects.

You will be an experienced Consultant that has a demonstrable background of working with big design houses, someone who will be able to look at the data centres themselves. The type of stuff that scratches way beyond the surface – Not for the faint hearted’. Whilst not a strict requirement, someone with a background in the Environmental and Stability, or Finance space, would be considered advantageous, but this is by no means essential.

The successful applicant will be a team player, open-minded and due to the size of the organisation, won’t be precious about what their level is, someone who will roll their sleeves up and muck in regardless of where they are able to. You will be a specialist and ultimately have a solid grounding when it comes to the mechanical and electrical components of any DC.

You will need to be confident project managing as you will be delivering approx. 3-4 projects simultaneously at any one time, but with a requirement that when a project lands for a large (one of the big four) or others of scale and size, that you are able to park this in an all hands to the pump or all hands on deck type manner.

You will be articulate and have good communications skills (both written and spoken) to present and work with customers at Stakeholder and C-Level together with the skills to put together solid detailed technical reports.

This role will work on a hybrid basis, with workers all staff being primarily remotely based, however, a requirement for the individual to go to site in London, if they have a big project that they are all working on or for team events/meetings.
